Outside of courses and guiding, I photograph as much as I can. My tool of choice is a Canon. Great pictures, but I am not posting many shots from the SLR. It is obviously more difficult to use, and is only taken into the cave when a photo project is on the go, and already planned. The SLR is obviously better in terms of quality but the point and shoot is very rewarding to use. The shots you can get off such a small point and shoot are just incredible. I used to want to take the SLR all the time, but since the point and shoot camera came of age, I see the SLR as a real pain unless I am taking working shots. Give me the pocket camera any day.
